An diesem
Wanderort Cilaos gibt es nur bis 9 Uhr Frühstück, so waren wir bereits um 8:30
Uhr im Restaurant und unsere Überraschung war gross: Eine exzellente Auswahl
mit vielen frischen Früchten - sogar Orangen konnte man pressen! Weil wir Richtung
Meer schon wieder Wolken sichteten und hier im Talkessel purer Sonnenschein
herrschte, beschlossen wir unser Frühstück am Pool zu verdauen...
Here in the hiking place Cilaos there is breakfast served only until 9
am, that’s why we were at the restaurant already at 8:30 am and our surprise
was big: An excellent variety with lots of fresh fruits – you could even
squeeze oranges! In direction of the ocean we spotted clouds and here in the
hollow there was pure sunshine, so we decided to digest our breakfast at the
pool…

Danach
packten wir, checkten aus und um 11 Uhr traten wir die Abfahrt an: Es ging die
400 Kurven wieder hinunter zurück ans Meer. 2 Stunden später erreichten wir das
Palm Hotel & Spa (http://www.palm.re) in Grand Anse. Wir richteten uns in
unserem Zimmer ein und ich packte alles aus für unsere 3 letzten Nächte.
Thereafter we packed our suitcases, checked out and at 11 am we hit the
road: First it went back down the 400 curves towards the ocean. 2 hours later
we arrived at the Palm Hotel & Spa (http://www.palm.re) in Grand Anse. We
installed ourselves in our room and I unpacked my whole suitcase for our last 3
nights.

Um 15 Uhr
machten wir uns auf zum Strand... da das Hotel leider nicht direkt am Meer
liegt hatten wir die Wahl mit einem Golfcart dorthin geführt zu werden oder die
10 Minuten zu Fuss den steiler Weg hinabzugehen - als sportliche Typen wählten
wir natürlich die letztere Variante! ; ) Es war bereits ziemlich bewölkt, aber
eigentlich genau richtig um der kleinen hübschen Bucht entlang zu joggen,
dachte ich mir... und genau das tat ich - 4 mal um auf meine gewohnte Laufzeit
zu kommen! Danach ging ich im mit Lavasteinen abgesteckten Becken schwimmen –
es war wie ein Aquarium: Lauter farbiger Fischen und Korallen! Dann war auch
ich K.O. und konnte beim Tosen der Riesenwellen im warmen Sand etwas dösen!
At 3 pm we went to the beach… unfortunately the hotel isn’t situated
directly at the ocean and we had the choice either to be driven there by a golf
cart or take a 10 minutes’ walk down the steep hill – we as the sporty kind of
people choose the latter alternative! ; ) It was already quite overcast, but indeed just
right to go for a run along the little pretty bay… and that’s what I did – 4 times
to get to my usual running time! Thereafter I took a swim in the natural pool
which was surrounded by lava stones – it was like an aquarium: Nothing but
coloured fish and corals! Then finally I was ready for a nap too and snoozed a
bit in the warm sand with the sound of the huge waves!

Zum
Abendessen hatten wir um 20 Uhr einen Tisch im Gourmetrestaurant des Hotels Le
Makassar reserviert. Wir speisten hervorragend in einer eleganten,
indonesischen Ambiente - nur musste man die Speisen auf den grossen Tellern
suchen… ; )
For dinner we had reserved a table in the gourmet restaurant of the hotel
Le Makassar at 8 pm. We dined in an elegant, Indonesian ambiance and the food
was delicious – only that you had to look for it on the big plates… ; )
