Heute
Morgen waren wir wieder relativ früh wach, so nutzte ich die Gunst der Stunde
um vor dem Frühstück meinen Post von gestern zu schreiben und ins Netz zu
stellen. Um 9:30 Uhr gingen wir dann ausführlich frühstücken…
This morning we woke up quite early again, so I improved the shining
hour before breakfast to write my post of yesterday and upload it into the web.
At 9:30
am we went for an extensive breakfast…

Eigentlich
hatten wir heute unseren ersten Ferientag in Aussicht – nichts tun – wenn da
nicht der Wochenmarkt St Pierre gewesen wäre… So fuhren wir um 10:30 Uhr nach
St Pierre und drängelten uns bei 33 Grad durch die vielen Stände, die von
Esswaren über Kleider bis zu Kunsthandwerk ziemlich alles boten!
Actually we aimed at having our first real day of holiday today – doing
nothing – if there hadn’t been the weekly market in St Pierre… So we drove to
St Pierre at 10:30 am and barged our ways through the stalls which offered just
about everything from food over clothes to handicrafts – and this with the
sweltering heat of 33 centigrade!

Am
Nachmittag hatten vor nochmals den hübschen Strand von Gand Anse aufzusuchen,
da es aber Samstag war, war ganz La Réunion auf den Beinen, so dass wir
beschlossen die Poolanlage im Hotel zu geniessen. Das taten wir auch und zum
Glück war es zwischendurch etwas bewölkt!
In the afternoon we intended to visit once more the pretty beach of
Grand Anse, but as it was Saturday whole La Réunion was on its feet, that’s why
we decided to relax at the pool of the hotel. That’s exactly what we did and luckily
some clouds stopped by from time to time!

Gegen
Abend hatte ich dann doch das Gefühl mich noch etwas aktiv zu betätigen, so
rannte ich zur Bucht hinunter und wieder zurück. Schwimmen konnte ich dort im
Naturbecken nicht, da gerade Ebbe war, so nutzte ich den Pool des Hotels für
einmal. Zum Dessert gab es wieder einen wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang!
In the evening I felt like being active after all this relaxing and run
down to the bay and back. I wasn’t able to go for a swim in the natural pool
there because of the low tide, that’s why I took advantage of the pool of the hotel
for once. For desert we had another gorgeous sunset!
For dinner we stayed at the Palm Hotel & Spa and took a table outside under the beautiful trees. We enjoyed a terrific buffet – behind each meal there was a cook who arranged his food with love on our plates – and all framed by nice live music!
