Der
Wecker holte uns heute Morgen um 7 Uhr aus dem Schlaf, der eh spärlich war, da
er von einer lästigen Mücke (die ich zum Glück erwischte), bellende Hunde, ein
krähender Hahn und ein singender Muezzin gestört wurde! Eine halbe Stunde später
waren wir beim Frühstück und um 8:15 Uhr wurden wir von einem Chauffeur abgeholt,
der uns nach Grand Baie (4 km vom Hotel) zum Motorboot brachte.
The alarm clock woke us up at 7:30 am and we still felt very tired as
our sleep had been disturbed several times by an annoying mosquito (which I
fortunately hit), barking dogs, a crowing cock and a singing muezzin! Half an hour
later we went for breakfast and at 8:15 am a driver picked us up and dropped us
at the boat in Grand Baie (4 km from the hotel).

Hier
stiessen noch 14 Spanier dazu und um 9 Uhr ging es dann los Richtung der 3
nördlichen Inseln direkt in den Regen! Ziemlich durchnässt ankerten wir 1
Stunde später auf der Ile Plate und die Sonne kam hervor so dass wir uns
trocknen und aufwärmen konnten. Einige gingen sogar Schnorcheln, wir hingegen
genossen den Apero (Jungle Juice) und die Sonne am Strand...
Here 14 Spaniards joined us and at 9 we drove direction of the 3
northern islands directly into the rain! Very wet we anchored 1 hour later on
the Island Ile Plate and the sun came out so that we could get dry and warm up.
Some of the Spanish went snorkeling whereas we enjoyed a jungle juice and the
sun at the beach...

Zum
Mittagessen gab es Lobster, der nicht weit entfernt gefangen wurde, und wir
probierten sogar einheimischen Weisswein! Nach dem Essen waren alle für eine
Siesta bereit, so auch wir und haben deshalb unsere Schnorchelausrüstung ganz
umsonst mitgenommen!
Auf dem Rückweg wurden wir wieder nass, diesmal vom Wind und den Wellen, aber der Jungle Juice ließ uns alles locker ertragen! ; )
Im Hotel Coin de Mire angekommen, ging Hansruedi in die Massage und ich entlang der Küste joggen (wo es nicht von Privathäusern verbaut ist) und im herrlich warmen Meer schwimmen. Als ich zurück kam, war ich dran mit einer Massage - was für eine Wohltat, ich wäre am liebsten bis morgen liegen geblieben!
For lunch we had lobster which wasn't caught far from where we stayed,
and we even tasted a local white wine! After lunch everybody was ready for a
nap, so were we and therefore had taken our snorkeling gears for nothing!
On the way back we got wet again, this time it was because of the wind
and the waves, but the jungle juice helped getting over it easily! ; )
When we arrived at the Hotel Coin de Mire, Hansruedi had a massage and I went for a
run along the coast (where it wasn't inaccessible because of private houses)
and for a swim in the nice and warm ocean. When I got back it was my turn with
a massage - what a treat, I would have loved to stay there until tomorrow
morning!

Zum
Abendessen hatten wir Lust auf Indisch und fuhren kurz nach 20 Uhr nach Grand
Baie zum Restaurant Happy Rajah, das meine indische Masseuse empfohlen hatte,
und wieder einmal wurden wir überrascht: Ein superschönes Lokal mit so viele
Leute wie wir noch nirgendwo gesehen hatten erwarteten uns! Das Essen war
superlecker und die Preise waren ein Drittel wie bisher!!! Bevor wir zu Bett
gingen machten wir noch einen Zwischenstopp an der Hotelbar...

We were fancying an Indian meal for dinner and drove to Grand Baie to
the Happy Rajah shortly after 8 pm. My Indian massager had recommended it and
once again we were surprised: A beautiful restaurant and lots of people as we
hadn't seen before somewhere were awaiting us! The food was just delicious and
the prices a third of what we had paid up to now!!! Before we went to bed we
had one for the road at the hotel bar...
