Heute
Morgen gingen wir um 9:30 Uhr
gemütlich frühstücken, dann war wieder einmal Packen angesagt, um 11 Uhr checkten
wir aus und waren bereit für die Abfahrt.
This morning we went for breakfast at 9:30 am, thereafter we had to pack
our suitcases once again, checked out at 11 am and were ready for departure.

Es
regnete immer noch, wie es schon die ganze Nacht immer wieder heftig geregnet
hatte, und wir fuhren ins Landesinnere. Langsam liess der Regen nach und als
wir eine halbe Stunde in Chamarel ankamen, kam sogar die Sonne hervor! Zuerst
besuchten wir die Chamarel-Wasserfälle, die 100 m in ein Naturbecken
herabstürzen. Danach bestaunten wir die Terre des Couleurs, ein farbiges
Naturwunder, wo es auch Riesenschildkröten der Seychellen hatten.
It was still raining when we hit the road inland, like it did all night
long. Slowly it stopped raining and half an hour later when we arrived at Chamarel the sun came out! First we visited the waterfalls which fall 100 m off
into a natural basin. Thereafter we marvelled at the Terre des Couleurs, a
coloured natural wonder where we also could see giant turtles from the
Seychelles.

Um 13 Uhr
machten wir einen Rundgang in der Rhumerie de Chamarel, inklusive Degustation. Wir
degustierten 9 verschiedene Rumsorten und fragten tatsächlich einige Male: Ist
das jetzt der Letzte? – Ich musste schliesslich noch fahren…
At 1 pm we had a tour at the rum factory of Chamarel including a
degustation. We tasted 9 different kinds of rum and asked several times: Is
that the last one? – After all I had to drive…

Als wir
weiter Richtung Osten durch das Landesinnere fuhren setzte der Regen wieder
ein... Um 15:30 Uhr kamen wir in Blue Bay in der Nähe des Flughafen an, das uns
Odile empfohlen hatte zu besuchen. Wir machten einen Halt im Restaurant Le
Bougainville um uns einen Pina Colada zu genehmigen – ob wir schon auf Rumentzug
waren? ; ) Hier hatte es auch einige Guest Houses und wir checkten eine Stunde
später im Chante au Vent (www.chanteauvent.com) ein: Eine super sympathisches Gästehaus direkt am Meer
mit einer der schönsten Aussichten (vom Bett aus)! Endlich konnte ich meine
Posts und Fotos aufladen, wir ruhten etwas aus und beschlossen auch vom Service
des Abendessens hier zu profitieren. Und das war es wirklich wert - und alles zu
Preisen, die total fair sind!

The started raining again when we left and we drove on direction east
through the interior of the island. At 3:30 pm we reached Blue Bay which is situated very close to
the airport and which Odile had recommended to visit. We stopped at the Restaurant
Le Bougainville to have a Pina Colada – if we were treated for rum addiction already? ; ) Here
there were a few guest houses to chose from and an hour later we checked in the
Chante au Vent (www.chanteauvent.com): A very cosy guest house at the water front and with one of the
nicest views (from our bed)! Finally I was able to upload my posts and photos,
we relaxed a while and decided to profit from the service to have dinner here
as well. And it was really worth it - and everything at very fair prices!
