5.10.2012 Mauritius: Bel Ombre

Wir waren schon ziemlich früh wach heute Morgen... da gestern Abend das Internet nicht funktionierte und ich meinen Post nicht ins Netz stellen konnte, gingen wir dementsprechend früh schlafen. Nun sahen wir endlich bei Tageslicht, wo wir uns eigentlich befanden! Kurz nach 8 Uhr waren wir schon am langen Strand am joggen und danach ging ich natürlich ins kühle Nass schwimmen. Ich musste aufpassen, damit ich meine Knie nicht an den Korallen aufschlug, so seicht war das Wasser!

Um 9:30 Uhr gingen wir ausgiebig frühstücken - eine Riesenauswahl erwartete uns - und wir waren prompt die letzten, die das Restaurant verliessen. Nun hatten wir noch etwas Zeit um auszuruhen und ich versuchte meinen Post von gestern auf den Blog zu laden... das Internet funktionierte zwar, aber meine Fotos wurden nicht richtig aufgeladen - nerv!!! Dann war es schon wieder Zeit uns bereit zu machen um Golf spielen zu gehen...

This Morning we woke up quite early... last night the internet wasn't working and I couldn't upload my post, that's why we had an early night. Now we finally saw with daylight where we were! Shortly after 8 am we were already running at the long beach and of course I went for a nice swim in the cool ocean thereafter. I had to take care not to hit my knees at the corals as the water was very shallow!

At 9:30 am we went for an extensive breakfast - a huge variety was waiting for us - and we were indeed the last who left the restaurant. Now we had some time to relax and I tried to upload my post of yesterday... the Internet was working but it didn't upload my pictures - grrr!!! Then it was already time to get ready for playing golf...

Wir hatten um 13:20 Uhr t-time reserviert auf dem Golfplatz Du Chateau und konnten schon eine halbe Stunde früher starten. Ein schöner, friedlicher und grüner Platz mit Fairways wie bei uns die Greens erwartete uns, dafür wehte ein heftiger Wind und zwischendurch nieselte es! Danach gab es noch einen Gin Tonic im Golfrestaurant.

Ich versuchte vor dem Abendessen nochmals meine Fotos aufzuladen, aber ohne Erfolg… (Nadine: Wie auf den Azoren: Je grösser und teurer das Hotel desto weniger funktioniert es!) Um 21 Uhr nahmen wir das Abendessen im Playa Restaurant ein (das a la carte Restaurant des Tamassa LUX Hotels). Und vor dem Schlafengehen genehmigten wir uns noch einen Rum an der Hotelbar...

We had reserved t-time at 13:20 at the golf course Du Chateau but could drive off half an hour earlier. A beautiful, calm and green golf course was awaiting us with fairways like greens in Switzerland, but it was very windy and it drizzled from time to time! Thereafter we had a gin and tonic at the golf restaurant.

Before dinner I tried again to upload my photos, but it just didn’t work… (Now I know: The bigger and more expensive it is the less it works!) At 9 pm we had dinner at the Playa Restaurant (the a la carte restaurant of the Tamassa LUX Hotel). Before we went to bed we had a nice old rum at the hotel bar...
